SUSTAINABILITY

Thanks to a generous grant from the Rothschild Foundation, QPAC has embarked on it’s official Sustainability journey, embedding environmental responsibility and an awareness of our carbon emissions into everything we do.

As part of this funding, we have developed our own Carbon Literacy Training Course through the the Carbon Literacy Project. This is a day’s worth of training educating learners on the causes of the climate crisis and the challenges and benefits to climate action with the aim to inspire positive motivation for reducing carbon emissions. So far, this has been offered to staff, board members and volunteers, but we hope to offer it more widely as time goes on.

We have also developed a new Sustainability Policy for QPAC which will be made public here within the next few weeks (as of Sept 2026).

We will continue to make changes around the centre, and are excited to announce some ongoing projects that will help QPAC become even more environmentally sustainable than it already is. If you would like to get involved, have knowledge or skills that would be useful to us, or want to find out more about our Carbon Literacy programme, please do get in touch at fohteam@queensparkarts.com.
