VOLUNTEERING & VACANCIES

“I have been volunteering at the Centre for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy giving something back. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the Centre has a lively atmosphere. It is a great way of getting out of the house and meeting new people.”

AUDIENCE INSIGHT PROJECT 2025-2026
(AD-HOC ROLE)

Weekdays and Saturdays during opening times – Slots will be released once confirmed and bookable according to your availability.

We think this is a really interesting volunteering opportunity to be part of a valuable county-wide research project. The outcomes will aid not only QPAC, but other Buckinghamshire cultural institutions as well by providing more accurate insights into cultural audiences in Buckinghamshire and into how well we are serving our communities currently.

About the volunteer role: being one of the interviewers will involve attending the arts centre at certain time slot/s within term-time to carry out a short survey, interviewing people visiting the arts centre. No prior research experience is needed – full training will be provided first. The surveys will run each term for a year, for a few days at various times, and your commitment to the project can fit around your diary. Volunteers will need to be over 16.

If you are interested, please get in touch at coordinator@queensparkarts.com by Friday 6 June with some brief details about yourself and your interest in the project. We will hold training days at the arts centre on Tue 10 June 6.30 – 8pm, or Fri 13 June 11am -12.30pm – you can book whichever suits you best once you have been in contact with us.

ART ASSISTANT FOR OUTREACH EVENTS
(AD-HOC ROLE)

Specific dates on Weekends – often during Summer and for the Aylesbury Christmas Lights Festival. (15 JUN, 28 JUN, 6 JUL in Summer 2025)

Our outreach events are incredibly important to extending the reach of QPAC to keep attracting new visitors. We like to provide a craft activity at each event so that there is something for visitors to interact with while they fidn out about what the centre offers.

If you want to get involved supporting children and other members of the public in small crafty activities, we would love to hear from you!

The activities are usually devised by our marketing coordinator who attends all events, however if you have your own idea for a simple activity, we would be interested to hear it and we can have a discussion about what might work.

We also always need lots of volunteers for our open days and craft fairs, at which there are often plenty of crafty activities to be facilitated by our pool of volunteers!

If you are interested, please get in touch at ellie@queensparkarts.com to let us know who you are and why you would like to get involved!
