AYLESBURY ON SEA AND WHIZZFIZZFEST

On Sunday 2 July Queens Park Arts Centre took part in Aylesbury on Sea and WhizzFizzFest from Aylesbury Town Council and Buckinghamshire Council. A wonderful time was had by all as families enjoyed playing in the 60 tonne sand pit, a whole host of fantastic free entertainment and storytelling, and plenty of arts and crafts all with the overarching theme of ‘Friendship’.

With a table full of coloured clay and googly eyes, QPAC invited crafters to make ‘Pocket Hugs’ from air-drying clay to give to friends and loved ones.

Aylesbury’s new Mayor Cllr Steven Lambert visited the stall and made a ‘Pocket Hug’.

Meanwhile, throughout the day, visitors were treated to three performances of Unbound Theatre’s fantastic immersive adaptation of Alice in Wonderland which saw crowds gathering to travel down the rabbit hole!

A huge thank you to everyone who came and spoke to us and also a special thanks to Aylesbury Town Council, Buckinghamshire Council, Unbound Theatre and all our volunteers for making it such a wonderful event to be a part of.
