HAND CRAFTED EXHIBITION

There’s a fantastically-colourful new textile exhibition on display in our Artisan gallery space this week, as we welcome artist Hannah Heys with her ‘Hand Crafted’ collection.

‘Hand Crafted’, is an exhibition celebrating the contemporary designs and craftsmanship of Textiles Artist Hannah Heys.

A range of Hannah’s wall hangings, rugs and cushions will be on display, created using hand tufting, punch needle and latch hook techniques. There will also be insights in to Hannah’s contemporary designs and luxurious handcrafted finish, a modern twist on traditional Textile techniques.

A celebration of colour and craftsmanship with a conscience.

Hannah Heys is a Textiles Artist with a keen eye for colour and a passion for contemporary Textiles.

Hannah works predominantly using yarn to create hand tufted, punch needle and latch hooked wall hangings, rugs and cushions for her latest homewares collection ‘Hannah Heys Textiles’.

All pieces are handmade by Hannah in her Buckinghamshire studio, where she experiments with Texture, colour and composition to create bold and contemporary designs, giving traditional Textile techniques a modern twist and luxurious handcrafted finish.

Hannah weaves sustainable practices in to all her pieces, from sourcing reclaimed yarns where suitable, British Wool where possible, off cuts from previous projects where practical and ensuring that each piece is made with longevity at the core.

‘Hand Crafted’ is free-to-view until 9 March. Click here for more information or here for opening times (PLEASE NOTE – during Half Term week – 21-27 Feb – the Centre will be open 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday).
