It’s always exciting when a brand-new production comes to our Limelight Theatre, and we’re delighted to be hosting the debut of a new one-act play this weekend, when Unbound Theatre perform ‘Retreat’ on 4-5 November.

Jenny has writer’s block. A writing retreat is the only solution to the problem; but sometimes opening up your imagination lets out far more than you intended.
Seeking refuge in the dressing room of an old London Theatre, she sets herself to work. Soon her new play begins to take shape, however there’s more than one story from her past that needs finishing before a new one can begin.
‘Retreat’ stars Amber Kendrick, Filipa Garrido, Hannah Rogers, Andrew Shaw, and Jacki Dann. THe production is directed by Andrew Faber and written by Dario Knight, who penned the acclaimed play ‘Funny Voices’, which reopened our Limelight Theatre after lockdown in May 2021. This new production explores similar themes of a storyteller and their relationship with the yarns they weave.
A filmed performance of ‘Funny Voices’ is available to view online for free. But fear not, you don’t need to have seen it to enjoy ‘Retreat’!
