It’s Craft Fair week! One of the highlights of our calendar is approaching, with this year’s event taking place this Saturday (12 November). See below for full details of what’s on offer!
No autumn season is complete without the QPAC Artisan Craft Fair. This year’s event is our biggest yet, with all manner of creative activities to look forward to, spanning the entirety of the Queen Park creative community.
As always, at the heart of the fair are our exhibitors. We’ll have handmade art and craft from the very best local artists and makers, spanning ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, textiles, fine art, mixed media and more. It’s the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping and pick up a bespoke gift, or even a treat-to-self!
Exhibitors joining us for 2022 include mixed media artist Kelly Vincent, Jyoti Dawaldi from Natural Quilts, textile artist Tania Groombridge of TNorman Designs, illustrator Eliott Bulpett, mosaics from Jill Blackburn, pop culture-inspired art from Michael G Hiskins, and wildlife portraits from watercolour and colour pencil artist Alison Perkins.
Storytellers from Unbound Theatre will be at the event too, performing a brand new show called ‘Buckinghamshire Tales’ in our beautiful ‘palace of stories’. This new show features three thrilling tales inspired by local history, as part of the 2022 Buckinghamshire History Festival. Performances – free with the performance entry fee – are at 11am, 12.30pm, and 2pm.
Alongside the storytelling, there’ll be a fantastic opportunity for younger visitors to create their very own work of art to take home with them as a memento of the day. Come and work alongside our experienced artists and tutors to kick-start your creativity!
There’s a special soundtrack to this year’s event, with performances from local musicians taking place in our Limelight Theatre space throughout the day. Artists include members of the QPAC Jazz Band – back by popular demand after last year’s fair!
Finally, our coffee bar will be open throughout the day selling hot and cold refreshments – a perfect opportunity for a cake break before heading back to see everything the QPAC Artisan Craft Fair has to offer!
